Sri Krishnadevaraya University

Post Graduate Center of Sri Venketeswara University was established in 1968. The center gained autonomous status in 1976. In the year 1981 this center has given the status of the University. In starting days, university functioned as a unitary residential university. In 1987, the university was given the status of affiliating university. At present the university has jurisdiction over the revenue districts of Anantpur and Kurnool. In 1993, the Post Graduate Center at Kurnool was brought under the jurisdiction of the University.  The University at University College Anantpur and Post Graduate Center, Kurnool offers post Graduate Courses and Research programs.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University has well developed library and laboratory for conducting research and development work. The university also provides facilities like outdoor stadium, playgrounds, gymnasium, E-Class Room, INFLIBNET, Internet, and computer networks. The infrastructure of the University also includes Bhuvana Vijayam Auditorium, Janmabhoomi Canteen, Sabari Guest House, Health center, Adhyapak Bhavan, NSS Building and several buildings for teaching departments and residential quarters. Within a short period of two decades Sri Krishnadevaraya University has got recognition as a center of academic excellence. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have given four-star status to the university. 

Admission Criteria

Admission criteria for admission into different courses of Sri Krishnadevaraya University.


Admission into PG and PG Diploma Courses in the College of Arts & Commerce, College of Science & Technology, and PG Centers is offered on the basis of score in Common Entrance Test SKUCET. Admission into MBA and MCA courses is made on the basis of Common Entrance Test i.e. ICET conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh. In some of the Diploma courses where the ratio of applicants to the available seats is less than 2:1 the admissions are made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.


Admission into B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. courses offered at College of Engineering is made on the basis of EAMCET.

College of Law (LLB.) :  Admission is made on the basis of LAWCET. Government of Andhra Pradesh administers this test for admission into all colleges of Law in Andhra Pradesh.

PG Courses : College of Engineering (M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm.) :  Admission is made on the basis of GATE percentile and the rank obtained in the  entrance test in the respective subjects conducted by S.K.U.

PG courses : (M.Phil.,/Ph.D.,.) : Admission is made on the basis of GATE percentile and the rank obtained in the  entrance test in the respective subjects conducted by S.K.U.
